چکیده

Abstract. The application of the mechanical joining process clinching allows assembly different sheet metal materials with a wide range material thickness configurations, which is interest for lightweight multi-material structures. In order to be able predict clinched joint properties as function individual manufacturing steps, current studies focus on numerical modeling entire chain. It essential take into account influence process-induced damage load-bearing capacity during loading phase. This study presents accumulation in based an implemented Hosford-Coulomb failure model using 3D applied aluminum alloy EN AW-6014 temper T4. A correspondence experimentally determined location element highest numerically shown. Moreover, behavior predicted agreement simulation transferred pre-damage from simulation.

Numerical Simulation of the Failure Process of Rocks

The initiation, development and coalescence of fractures have been studied by various researchers. The current consensus is that such complex process is however not yet fully understood. In the present study, a numerical model, based on finite element approach, has been developed to simulate the fracture process when the specimen is under compression. The heterogeneous nature of the rocks is al...

Numerical analysis of slide-head-toppling failure

In layered and blocky rock slopes, toppling failure is a common mode of instability that may occur in mining engineering. If this type of slope failure occurs as a consequence of another type of failure, it is referred to as the secondary toppling failure. “Slide-head-toppling” is a type of secondary toppling failures, where the upper part of the slope is toppled as a consequence of a semi-circ...
